East Coast Spirit

We allow everyone the chance to cheer no matter what their circumstances are, and teach our cheerleaders that honesty, hard work, confidance and integrity is what will take them places and be successful in life. We stress that winning is second to having fun, and encourage everyone to be the best that they can be, no matter what the outcome! We BELIEVE in our athletes 110% and know that there are no limits to what they can accomplish with the RIGHT kind of encouragement and training!

Our coaches are enormously qualified, honest, hardworking, experienced, and willing to do whatever it takes to give each person on their team the best experience possible.Our staff has ONLY each athletes best interest at heart, and proves that each and every day!

With over 50 Championship titles in the last 2 seasons, including 2009 and 2010 back to back Canadian National Championship titles from Toronto, East Coast Spirit has rightfully earned the title as "Maritime Sensation"! Our amazing results have proven that ECS is the best program to teach your child how to be a champion, on and off the competiton floor.

CENTRAL LOCATION: We are completely central in uptown Saint John. There is easy access to our gym from every area of the Greater Saint John area! We are only 15 minutes from the KV area, as well as Grand Bay! Our gym is located in an historic landmark in Saint John and is surrounded by historical properties in the beautiful uptown area! The building is has an alarm system, is secure, very beautiful and full of history!

MORE TRAVELLING and COMPETITIONS!: East Coast Spirit has traveled more extensively then any other gym in New Brunswick over the last 4 years. We believe that our cheerleaders should experience everything possible with our trips, and make an effort to do and see as much as we can while away for a competition! We have taken our cheerleaders to Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Toronto Ontario, New Jersey, New York City, Atlantic City, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Florida (Disney World) for the Cheerleading Worlds. We plan on continuing to travel extensively every year, and attending as many competitions as we can to give our cheerleader every possible opportunity to experience everything they can!!

EAST COAST SPIRIT IS AN OFFICIAL USASF, IASF, AND NSGA MEMBER! We are proud to be members in good standing with the United States All Star Federation, The International All Star Federation (both for the 5th consecutive year), and the National Small Gym Association. We are the only gym in the area with such extensive memberships!

NUMBER 7......

TUMBLING CLASSES FOR ALL LEVELS & FREE OPEN GYM NIGHTS! Not only do we tumble with our teams at every practice (included in the monthly fee you already pay) ECS offers ADDITIONAL classes at a low rate for you to work on your tumbling skills even more! These are optional classes, for all levels from beginner right up to Elite, offered to increase your skills! We also offer FREE open gym nights for our members to come in to work on skills, or to condition, whatever they want to do! This is FREE FOR MEMBERS!!

Success! Although winning is never our number one priority, we proved over the last 2 years that our methods work. Safe training, following proper progression, focusing on our members and doing what is best for them, working hard and having fun has translated into over 50 Championship titles in the last 2 years! Our Athletes are healthy and happy, and that to us is the ULTIMATE success!

FULL SERVICE FACILITY! East Coast Spirit is a full service training facility. We own a 9 strip spring floor and train ONLY on that, for safer and more advanced training. We are alwas keeping up with the latest equipment for te safest and most effictive training. We offer teams for all ages and abilities, tumbling classes, private coaching, extra clinics, day camps, birthday parties, gym rentals, equipment rental and SO MUCH MORE! You don’t get any more “Full Service” then this!!!

MORE PROFESSIONAL TRAINING THEN ANYONE IN THE PROVINCE! We bring in top of the line choreographers, and skill trainers from the USA and Canada for ALL of our teams! This training happens’ ALL YEAR LONG!! The knowledge that these professionals instill in not only the cheerleaders, but the staff as well, is SO valuable. Last year we adopted a new training program. We focused on proper progression to eliminate injuries, correct skill training for athletes and coaches, and a focus on quality, not quantity for everything in our gym. Plain and simple… It worked!! This is yet another way that proves East Coast Spirit is committed to always giving our members the BEST of the BEST and putting our athletes first!

MOST EXPERIENCED AND KNOWLEDGABLE COACHES IN THE AREA!

Our coaches prove on a daily basis that they are the best of the best. With a combined total of over 150 years experience, they coach our athletes not only to excellence on the competition floor, but in life. Our staff puts the needs of each cheerleader first, treats everyone equally, and does their best to make everyone reach their potential to the absolute fullest. We BELIEVE in our athletes 110% and know that there are no limits to what they can accomplish with the RIGHT kind of encouragement and training! 5 of the East Coast Spirit Coaches were nominated for the 2010 Canadian coach of the year award... and Owner Joy Mitchell was named Canadian coach of the year for 2010. Our coaches were the ONLY New Brunswick coaches to be nominated! Our entire staff is also volunteer! They coach YOUR kids because they love them and the sport, not to make money!

We believe that everyone should be able to cheer at a top notch facility regardless of their financial situation, and do not close our doors to anyone. Yes, we charge monthly fees, but our monthly fees are as low as we can make them and go towards your gym and program. You get what you pay for at ECS, and then so much more! Your registration fees go directly back to YOU! We keep all travel expenses as low as possible and offer extensive fundraising to offset (or entirely pay for) trip costs. Many memebers totaly pay for their entire yer just be fundraising. We offer you top of the line choreography and skill training from professionals from the US and Canada for well under market value. We own a full 9 strip spring floor in our gym, and that is at NO extra cost to any of the ECS members!! Everything you need, at the most reasonable cost!
